Big Pun meets Paul McCartney with a dash of Stanley Kubrick, Calamity Jones weaves intricate strands of storytelling tethered with a cynical wit and poetic perspective.
New York born, raised, & born again, Calamity discovered his lyrical ability by the age of 16. The 9 years of fine-tuning his craft to follow finally allowed thought to be put to record with his debut EP "The Calamity Tapes Vol. One" (2020).
Since then Calamity has released a full-length album "Grand'lusions" (2021), numerous singles, as well as 7 self-directed and award-winning music videos. Whether it be through his music or filmmaking, Calamity's message is clear: Enjoy life without taking it, or yourself, too seriously.
Now taking his sharpened skills into the commercial landscape, Calamity has written and produced songs for pitches to Pokeworks and the NFL as well as spec work for Vaseline, Cann, and Perdue AirFried Chicken.
In his own words, "It gets so serious but mood can vary quick as the weather; But even Noah had to bear through forty days for the better". In a few of his other words, "It's a fart joke".
